Jeff Immelt, Global CEO of GE, talked at the London Business School Summit about doing business in a “re-set world”. He made the point that “the re-set world” is something distinct from “managing the cycle”, which businesses have to contend with roughly every ten years. His view is that through the credit crunch the environment for business has changed radically; the kind of change that happens every fifty years.
