Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has appointed Bell Pottinger as its lead corporate communications agency, following an extensive global pitch for the business.
The Dubai-based industrial conglomerate is investing US$15 billion into six operational subsidiaries, to create a new global aerospace, manufacturing and services corporation.
Bell Pottinger Business & Brand (BPBB) originally supported the formal unveiling of the new DAE corporate entity in February and won a fiercely competitive pitch process for the on-going account that began in March.
David Wilson, Managing Director of Bell Pottinger Public Relations, is personally leading the account through its BPBB division. He said: “DAE is going to be one of the biggest aerospace stories of the next few years and we are delighted with this appointment. We supported the launch of DAE and now, with our bespoke PR agency network of specialist partners, we will provide DAE with aerospace and aviation skills in target markets worldwide. Matched with our own in-depth knowledge of this industry and our involvement in the incredible development of Dubai, we are very well placed to support DAE moving forward.”
Rashid Al Malik, Project Director of DAE, said: “Throughout the pitch process Bell Pottinger demonstrated its understanding of our business, our objectives and the creative ideas to help DAE achieve its goals. Bell Pottinger has a proven track record of building global brands for ambitious businesses like DAE and its bespoke agency model provides us with an unbeatable capability in every market worldwide.”
Bell Pottinger’s specialist aviation/aerospace team, led by David Wilson, has for more than six years helped the Dubai-based Emirates Airline to become a fast developing global brand. The team also represents VLM Airlines, the carrier with the largest number of flights from London City Airport.
