Bell Pottinger Health (BPH) has been appointed by DisabledGo; an award-winning disability organisation which provides free, detailed access information for disabled people across the UK and Ireland. BPH will provide media relations support for the launch of DisabledGo’s new online resource, whereby NHS Trusts promote their healthcare and disabled access services, with the aim of improving patient experience and enabling disabled people to make informed choices about their healthcare. The launch event will take place in Westminster later this month.
Commenting on the wins, Bell Pottinger Health’s Director Tanya von Ahlefeldt said
“We are delighted to be working with DisabledGo on such an extremely worthwhile initiative. The NHS has a responsibility to all patients, as highlighted in Lord Darzi’s High Quality Care for All report, and this resource provides NHS Trusts with the ability to help fulfil this commitment to those affected by disability. This win adds to BPH’s growth and success since launching in mid 2008 and we strive to continue our expansion in 2009 and beyond.”

About DisabledGo
DisabledGo is an award-winning disability organisation based in the UK with a growing reach into Europe. The organisation was founded by Dr. Gregory Burke, a wheelchair user since the age of 16, who wanted to find a practical way to encourage disabled people to access and contribute to their community. It is now one of the largest disability organisations in Europe with a turnover larger than the UK’s Employers Forum on Disability and comparable with the Royal National Institute of the Blind.
