Bell Pottinger North, part of the UK’s most successful public relations group, has strengthened its property planning and construction team with the appointment of journalist Heather Butler as account manager.
Heather, 30 from Urmston, joined the Macclesfield-based public relations agency from the Blackpool Gazette where she was an assistant newseditor and education correspondent. At Bell Pottinger North, Heather will be responsible for the management of accounts including housebuilder Arley Homes, builder Russells Construction, mechanical and electrical engineering experts EIC and national fit out specialist ISG Retail and Leisure. She will also provide support for the rest of the property, planning and construction team which counts among its clients Waitrose, The Duchy of Lancashire and Muller Property Holdings.
Director Deborah Garritty said "Heather is already proving an asset to the team. As we continue to grow, it is important for us to attract employees with a range of skills and experience to benefit our clients. As a journalist, Heather brings with her a valuable understanding of the media and the regional business community. She has shown a great enthusiasm for developing her skills in the public relations arena and is already adding value to our clients campaigns.”
