Bell Pottinger welcomes COI roster news

Thursday, 04 December 2008

Public sector work is now some of the most challenging and inspiring for the Bell Pottinger Group, says Kevin Murray, Chairman of Bell Pottinger. He was reacting to the news that the Group is now represented on seven out of the eight Lots of the newly published Central Office of Information (COI) roster.

The COI manages briefs for communication projects for Government departments.

“We have enjoyed working with COI and their clients in recent years. Our ability to bring together bespoke teams from across the group – indeed, from across the whole of Chime - has been a real advantage,” he says.

“Gone are the days when organisations can afford the time or money hiring numerous agencies with different skills. Increasingly they need integrated teams who work together day to day and who have access to the very best specialist as and when then need them.”

“Claire Cater who heads our Public Sector and Social Marketing offer, has worked on a wide range of public sector assignments, and has brought together teams from across the Group that provide the full range of skills and sector expertise. This includes experts from public affairs to consumer, from sport to International affairs, and from digital to branding” says Kevin.

“Increasingly, the COI and their clients are looking to achieve behaviour change – often among challenging sectors of society,” says Claire Cater. “For this reason, we think our social marketing offer will also be of real interest to them. We look forward to helping them make a positive difference.”
