Construction work involves new-build and refurbishment of four existing hospitals on the Manchester Royal Infirmary site, including the provision of a new children’s hospital, destined to be one of the biggest in Europe, and the maintenance of 145,000 square metres of existing hospital estate.

Catalyst Healthcare director, Michael Davis, commented: “This is a very exciting, high profile project in the heart of Manchester which, when complete, will provide one of the most modern hospital complexes in the UK.

“We have appointed Bell Pottinger North to handle our PR because of their unparalleled experience in the healthcare sector.”

Bell Pottinger North account director, Vicki Baxter, added: “We are delighted to be working with Catalyst Healthcare. This is an amazing development which is extremely complex, as multiple phases of extensive construction and refurbishment work has to be carried out without any disruption to patient care. Pro-active communication with several audiences is essential in order to keep the public and stakeholders informed of the project’s progress.”
