Caucus wins strategic project to better understand attitudes to health among young people for NHS North West

Tuesday, 02 February 2010

Caucus has been appointed by NHS North West to conduct a series of online discussion events with young people and the parents of young children.  The aim is to explore attitudes to young people’s physical and mental health and wellbeing.

It was felt that for such a sensitive topic the anonymity of the online platform would be ideal and will allow young people to be as open and honest as possible in an environment that is designed to facilitate communication in an intuitive and engaging way.  The live discussion combines a video streamed moderator with a range of interactive questionnaire techniques to allow participants to express their views.

The overall aim is to explore how well young people understand the range of issues related to their physical and mental health, their awareness of services available for them and how these services could be improved and made more accessible.

Vijay Sodiwala, Managing Director of Caucus, said “We’re really excited to be working with NHS North West on such an important project, and I think that the platform is the ideal environment in which to engage young people on such sensitive issues.”
