Having spent eight successful years as Assistant Director of the Conservative Research Department, Jonathan Caine is to join Bell Pottinger Public Affairs (BPPA) as a Director in March.
Caine has a wealth of experience as an adviser to the Conservative Party. A former Special Adviser in the Major years, he currently advises Rt Hon David Cameron MP on all aspects of Northern Ireland politics and policy, as well as dealing with constitutional and legal reforms, House of Lords reform, Scotland, Wales and devolution policy. Before and during the 2001 General Election, Jonathan was a member of William Hague’s speechwriting and Prime Minister’s Questions team, drafting major speeches covering all policy areas.
As a Director at BPPA, Caine will be responsible for advising a wide range of BPPA clients on Conservative Party politics and policy.
Jonathan Caine said: “I am delighted to be joining BPPA. With a re-vitalised Conservative Party under David Cameron's leadership, important elections in May looming large, and a change in Prime Minister a matter of weeks away, it is certainly a very exciting time in British politics. I am very much looking forward to working with BPPA’s wide range of clients”.
Peter Bingle said: “I worked with Jonathan previously at The Communication Group, so I know what a first class political consultant he is. Nobody understands Conservative Party politics or people as well as Jonathan. His appointment will help to further consolidate our position as market leader”.
