Corporate Citizenship celebrates clients’ DJSI successes

Friday, 10 September 2010

SAM and Dow Jones Indexes yesterday announced the results of the 2010 annual review for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes, and Corporate Citizenship is delighted that several clients are among the companies recognised.

We would like to congratulate Pearson, Unilever and ANZ in particular on achieving super sector leader status for 2010.  In addition, amongst others, Lafarge, Abbott and Lloyds Banking Group all acquired or maintained highly coveted places on the list, which is based on an analysis of corporate economic, environmental and social performance.

To obtain a place on the index, companies must submit an application and are then assessed on issues including corporate governance, risk management, branding, climate change mitigation, supply chain standards and labour practices. The analysis process accounts for general as well as industry specific sustainability criteria for each of the 57 sectors defined according to the Industry Classification Benchmark.
