Xiota, an innovative new company, today announces it has brought in De Facto Communications, part of Bell Pottinger Health, to lead their PR campaign.
Xiota, founded by Mike Reardon in February 2008, has one goal – to make a difference – this is achieved in two ways. Xiota brings together some highly experienced board level directors and senior managers from the biotech, pharmaceutical and medical device industries in the UK and internationally. This panel helps companies take on the challenges, avoid the pitfalls and overcome the hurdles associated with enabling companies to expand and move into different markets. The second difference Xiota makes is that the profits of the group will be used to support charitable and not-for profit organisations in both the UK and overseas.
Mike Reardon Executive Chairman and CEO of Xiota has over 30 years of experience with SmithKline Beecham plc, Grünenthal GmbH, Porvair plc, Bespak plc and more recently as a Director on the Board of Goldshield Group plc in the UK and Chairman of the Antigen Group, Ireland. He has extensive experience in international markets having established and managed businesses throughout the world including companies in USA, Europe and India. For ten years of his career he has lived and worked in the Middle East, Germany and The Netherlands. As a fully listed Company Board Director he has several years’ experience of corporate governance and managing legal litigation issues as well as strategic planning at both a corporate and individual business level.
Heading the account will be Mike Wort, Managing Director De Facto Communications, who, along with his team will be working closely with Mike Reardon. Mike Wort commented: “During my career, I was privileged to work at the Wellcome Foundation and be part of the support the company gave to the Wellcome Trust, Xiota has the same ethos in that they will make a difference by giving back to the community through the support they will give for various charitable ventures. We are delighted to be working with Mike and the team at Xiota. With such a breadth of talented and experienced people working on the various panels Mike has set up, Xiota will be a very exciting company to work with and support as they grow and widen their support for charities.”
