DE FACTO TO HEAD CORPORATE COMMS FOR BTG

De Facto Communications has won the corporate PR brief from UK drug developer BTG, with the task of helping the former public sector IP consultancy reinvent itself as a leading international drug development business. De Facto will help shape the brand reputation of BTGs new business offering.

As a former IP group BTG is largely known as a generalist business with core technology in electronics, telecoms, physical sciences, medical devices and new medicines. After a radical restructuring the company has over 50 novel projects at various stages of development in its pipeline and is progressing rapidly thanks to robust in licensing activity.

With a new strategy, focused largely on developing potential new medicines for the treatment of disease in the areas of Ageing, Neuroscience and Oncology the company looks set for a successful future and is on target to maintain profitability into 2007, a notoriously difficult target in the world of early stage drugs.

BTG is headquartered in London with offices in the US and Japan. De Facto is developing a B2B PR campaign to promote the company’s repositioning, that will role out globally, ensuring BTG are on the radars of the world’s key pharmaceutical and biotechnology leaders.
