Technology Forum DEMO Germany appoints Harvard Public Relations Germany for Communications Campaign

Wednesday, 28 May 2008

Harvard Public Relations has successfully been appointed to raise awareness for the technology forum DEMO Germany. The German version of the globally recognized DEMO USA will take place for the second time this year. The organizers IDG Business Media and MagniGROUP decided to hire Harvard Public Relations because of the agency’s technology competence. The agency will focus on raising visibility for DEMO Germany as a separate brand with German speaking media and defined target groups. Moreover, companies presenting at Demo 2008 will be supported through basic PR activities.

Business success with DEMO Germany
DEMO Germany is organised by IDG Communications Media and MagniGROUP in the role of executive producer. It is the German equivalent of the innovative technology fair DEMO USA. DEMO Germany 2008 will take place on October 15 in Munich. German as well as international technology companies will use this prestigious conference to present their innovative ideas, products and solutions to key decision-makers. Attendees are ranked and selected according to specific criteria by the DEMO Advisory Board prior to the event. The intention of each presentation is to bring founders and investors together and make ideas a reality. DEMO Germany, launched in 2007, features a completely new type of conference format for the German-speaking market. Six-minute presentations on stage (without PowerPoint) decide on the marketability of a product, financial support, growth strategies as well as possible target groups and markets. For employees or partners of venture capital companies, editors from the technology trade and financial media or potential cooperation or business partners, visiting DEMO is an absolute must.

Michaela Gross, General Manager of Harvard Public Relations said: “DEMO is the ideal platform to present new technologies and products to key decision-makers. Obviously we are delighted to be working with such a leading technology conference. Our goal is to maximise visibility for DEMO and to establish it as an innovative panel for the start-up and business angel community. The advantages of DEMO for participants as well as presenters need to be clearly communicated. Therefore, we will use the right mix of strategic thought leadership and tactical PR activities.”

Harvard Public Relations has started with strategic planning and implementation of PR activities in May. The Harvard team for DEMO Germany will be headed up by Michaela Gross and Alexandra Maiberger. On client-side Stefan Herbert from MagniGROUP, executive producer of DEMO Germany, is responsible for PR and marketing activities.
