The 19th Commonwealth Games, being hosted by the city of Delhi from 3rd to 14th October, will be the most widely viewed ever - beating Melbourne (2006) and Manchester (2002) into second and third place respectively.
From Asia to Africa, Canada, the United States of America and Europe to the beautiful islands of the Caribbean and the South Pacific, the 17-sports of the Delhi Commonwealth Games will be available to viewers not only in standard definition broadcast quality but, for the very first time, in the superb High Definition format as well.
For the past three-years, the Delhi 2010 Organising Committee under its chairman, Suresh Kalmadi, has worked tirelessly to make sure that the Games reach the widest possible television audience.
“Working very closely with Fast Track, our London-based broadcast rights agency who have helped us enormously,” said Kalmadi, “we have managed to conclude so many agreements that our Games will be seen by more people, in more countries, than ever before which is something we are naturally absolutely delighted about.”
