Fast Track's work for Collins Stewart London Boat Show helps them win “Exhibition of the Year Award”

Fast Track Sailing’s work with the British Marine Federation, and its subsidiary, National Boat Shows was rewarded last week as the Collins Stewart London Boat Show 2007 was awarded “Exhibition of the Year Award” at the Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards held at the Millennium Hotel, Mayfair, London.

Fast Track Sailing provided consultancy on the restructuring of the event to make it more of a lifestyle experience with the emphasis on the London Boat Show once again becoming a 'show' rather than 'exhibition.' Fast Track Sailing also worked with the National Boat Shows on sponsorship acquisition and activation, a result of which has seen Collins Stewart, the global investment bank and stock broker, not only take the title sponsorship in 2007 but now extend its tenure until 2008.

The judges conferred the Award on the show for researching and the providing what exhibitors and visitors wanted from the event by introducing, “a number of significant changes to the format of the exhibition to improve its overall appeal. Many established features were replaced by new initiatives to make the show more of a ‘lifestyle’ event”. The judges went on to conclude that “the changes worked well and post-show feedback from visitors and exhibitors alike has been extremely positive” and praised the trade organisation for finding the time to renew and reinvigorate what is a flagship event for its indust

Commenting on the Award, National Boat Shows’ Managing Director, Andrew Williams said, “This is a fantastic accolade and reflects brilliantly on all those that worked so hard to bring about the changes we felt were necessary to reinvigorate the London Boat Show.
