Foundation Trust Network Appoints Good Relations To Promote Foundation Hospitals

Tuesday, 04 December 2007

Bell Pottinger Director and health specialist Claire Cater will lead the account, alongside Good Relations Account Director, Kathryn Ager.

The Foundation Trust Network was established in June 2004 to support the development of NHS Foundation Trusts, and is hosted by the NHS Confederation. In April 2004 there were ten Foundation Trusts, there are now 83. The FTN now has over 157 members, who are authorised FTs and trusts aspiring to FT status. The FTN is responsible for representing the views of members, shaping policy and sharing learning.

FTN Director, Sue Slipman, said that Foundation Trusts had already come along way since the first Trusts were approved three years ago. “Now is an opportune time to reflect on our progress to date and to make sure that the values and vision of Foundation Trusts, working as part of the wider NHS, are fully understood and properly articulated. We are looking to the Bell Pottinger group to support us in doing this.”
