Good Relations (GR) has been appointed by Morrisons as the supermarket’s retained public affairs agency.
The team is led by GR Director, Estelle McCartney who reports into Morrison’s Richard Taylor, Director of Corporate Affairs. The supermarket has been enjoying record sales and announced last month that it was to create 5,000 new jobs by the end of the year.
Good Relations, part of the Bell Pottinger Group, will be working with Morrisons across a wide range of issues with a strong focus on the supermarket’s policy of sourcing 100% of fresh meat from British farmers and dealing directly with British farmers.
GR CEO Teresa Anne Dunleavy said: “Morrisons is outperforming its sector and has a great story to tell. It’s a fantastic win for the team and reflects many months of hard work to get the business.”
Estelle McCartney said; “The Morrisons way of doing business – dealing directly with British farmers and managing the supply chain themselves - means that they have an important contribution to make to current policy discussions around the future security of food supplies and the future of British farming.”
