Bell Pottinger technology specialist to help Lithium extend Social CRM and Customer Community Leadership
Harvard PR, part of the Bell Pottinger Group, has been selected to help facilitate the brand enhancement and thought leadership of Lithium Technologies in the European market. Lithium Technologies is the leading provider of Social CRM solutions to power the customer network, and in the midst of tremendous growth as building branded social customer networks and improving the consumer experience on the web have emerged as global enterprise initiatives.
The account will be led by Harvard MD Lee Brooke and director Will Sturgeon. Industry analyst relations will be managed by Harvard's dedicated AR practice Sunesis, led by David Rossiter.
"Harvard impressed us with their hands-on senior team approach, their in-depth knowledge of our industry and the challenges our clients face in marrying social media with customer and brand engagement," said Bruno Teuber, VP and GM Europe, Middle-East and Africa, Lithium Technologies. "We have a very strong reputation in the US and continuing to see significant expansion in Europe. We wanted an agency that would work closely with us to build the business here, securing high profile coverage but more importantly getting us into the conversations our customers and potential customers are having right now."
Harvard MD, Lee Brooke said: "The story behind Lithium and their customers fascinated us. It's an example of a great brand driving measurable business results. To get that message across, Lithium needed an agency that can get under the skin of that story and tell it with the flair and creativity it warrants. Given the need for traditional media relations, combined with social media know-how, broad stakeholder engagement and an in-depth knowledge of the technology, this represented a real sweet-spot for us."
Lithium was established ten years ago by Lyle Fong, one of the world’s first professional gamers and co-founder of Gamers.com, a community for online gamers. Using the Gamers.com platform, Lithium was able to help global brands build and manage online communities to enable customers to interact with their company and with one another. Companies use these communities as a means to improve the relationship between customers and their brand, to reduce product/service support costs by enabling customers to help one another and to develop new products and services with the input of their customers. Brands are also able to use Lithium’s solutions to seamlessly integrate customer conversations taking place in external communities such as Facebook and Twitter.
Lithium customers include Sony, AT&T, Research In Motion Limited (RIM), Univision, and PayPal.
