Harvard shines on for Toshiba Lighting Systems

Munich based PR agency Harvard Public Relations, a premier PR specialist for technology and digital lifestyle, has won the Toshiba Lighting Systems account, an international player in the booming LED market.

Harvard will be in charge of product and brand PR (B-to-B and B-to-C) for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, starting with launch activities and PR support around Toshiba’s presentation at the trade shows “Light + Building 2010, Frankfurt” and the “Milan Design Fair 2010”.

Toshiba Lighting is one of the leading provider of trendsetting LED lighting systems. The company’s roots reach back to Japan’s first light bulb in the year 1884.

“We are very pleased to support Toshiba Lighting as a pioneer and innovation leader of the light industry as well as a new and powerful player in the German market”, says Harvard’s MD Oliver Sturz. “LED is a trendy topic with multi-faceted story-angles: as an eco-friendly alternative option towards the classic obsolescent light bulb, as an innovative and cost-efficient technology as well as a emotional topic around design and ambience.”

Harvard Public Relations is part of the international Bell Pottinger Group, the UK’s No. 1 PR group which is a premier independent communication agency network in Europe. Harvard has successfully driven several PR campaigns for further divisions of Toshiba like Computer Systems, LCD-/LED-TV, multimedia products and mobile phones. Furthermore the PR specialist handles the accounts of companies and brands including PlayStation/ Sony Computer Entertainment, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Sling Media, McAfee, Kroll Ontrack, IFS, Baramundi and Alibaba.com.
