Heinz has appointed Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest (VCCP) to run its planned advertising campaign for its Weight Watchers from Heinz brand after a four way pitch.
The TV and press campaign, worth in excess of £2million, will be aired in the Autumn, concentrating on promoting the frozen foods range, such as ready meals, potatoes and desserts.
The low fat and low calorie food market is one of the fastest growing, yet overcrowded markets in the sector, and Weight Watchers from Heinz is keen to develop household penetration of the brand even further than it currently exists. Ian Priest, Founding Partner of VCCP says: “Heinz is one of the world’s most instantly recognisable and trusted brands and, within its target audience, Weight Watchers is not far behind. VCCP is tasked with not only maintaining that enviable position, but also developing and extending it into new areas.”
Matthew Cullum, Marketing Manager for the WWfH brand who oversaw the pitch process, says: “We are in an ever changing market place and one that is sure to continue to evolve . We were looking for an agency with interesting ideas and the skills to develop the brand still further. VCCP met the challenge.”
