Horack joins Opinion Leader

Thursday, 15 July 2010

Chime Communications plc today announced the appointment of Sarah Horack as Research Director at Opinion Leader. Horack will join the business in mid-July working from Opinion Leader’s London offices. With extensive expertise in political, social and public policy research, Horack will lead the research team in this sector, reporting to Sinéad Jefferies. In addition, given her relevant experience she will be a leading player in Brand Democracy, the company’s specialist message testing division.

“I am delighted to welcome Sarah to Opinion Leader”, Crispin Beale, Chief Executive of the Research & Engagement Division of Chime, commented. “As a leading figure in the area of corporate social responsibility, and a renowned political and public policy thought leader, Sarah will be an invaluable asset to our team. I am confident that she will make a substantial contribution across the Division by becoming a leading figure in Brand Democracy, our world-class message testing offering, and enhancing our already strong political, social and public policy division to clients.”

Horack commented on her appointment, “Opinion Leader has a long-established reputation in political and public policy research, which perfectly fits the portfolio of my experience. It’s a very exciting role, and I’m looking forward to meeting and working with Opinion Leader’s diverse range of clients”.

Horack joins the Division from PricewaterhouseCoopers where she worked in the Policy, Research and Economics Group as a Research Director. This Government-facing role included securing mandates for policy studies, project management and preparing published reports. Prior to this, Horack worked at RS Consulting as a Director of Corporate Finance and Public Policy Research, a unit she was responsible for setting up. Whilst there, she directed numerous research projects and led the teams that prepared reports published by organisations including HM Treasury, DWP, FSA, Competition Commission, The Pensions Regulator and its predecessor Opra, the Audit Commission and the Pensions Commission.   Before this, Horack was Head of Polling and Election Research for the Social Democratic Party where she managed their research programme and was involved with MPs in planning campaign strategies through two General Elections, and advising party leaders on marketing and communications.

Earlier this year Crispin Beale was appointment to Chief Executive of the Research & Engagement Division of Chime, where he also sits on the executive management board of the plc.
