Pure Media (a subsidiary company of Chime Communications plc) has hired Tara Marus to head up the company alongside Hugh Walker. Marus, who joins as Joint Managing Director is returning to the world of media after taking some time out of the industry.
Marus started her media agency career with WPP owned agency BJK&E (newly rebranded MAXUS) in 1994 and was appointed to the board in May 2000 where she held the position of Board Director until she left the company in 2007.
Her primary remit was to oversee accounts including DaimlerChrysler, Triumph International, Seiko and Scotts (Miracle Gro company). As well as this, she held a key agency trading role and championed the use of creativity and integration across all media.
Hugh Walker, Joint Managing Director said: “Pure Media enjoyed a very strong 2008, with new business from the New Littlewoods Pools, IPSOS Mori, Killik & Co, East Lancashire PCT and the NHS. Our new business pipeline for 2009 is looking equally promising and with Tara’s wealth of experience I am sure this year will prove to be extremely successful.”
