Pure Media has brokered the first ever fully integrated media collaboration between the FT and CNBC to publicise the launch of QFinance – ‘The Ultimate Financial Resource’ for the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority.
QFINANCE is a unique reference tool for the finance professional, entrepreneur or student alike. Available both in print and online, it is a cutting edge resource for current, high-quality information and opinion-leader thought from the world of finance.
The creative campaign, devised by VCCP, kicked off last week with London-based guerrilla and print activity in support of the official launch held in Doha, Qatar. The print campaign revolved around our insatiable curiosity, and the need to constantly question to stay ahead; it posed hard hitting questions to which QFinance can help answer. The cryptic Q’s were accompanied by a full cover wrap of City AM – to further get under the skin of the core target audience of City financiers.
The launch in Doha included three days of finance themed events hosted by the FT, the Economist and CNBC which were attended by international finance professionals from around the globe. On the final morning of events CNBC Europe hosted a Qfinance debate covering the issue of how new regulation will impact the global financial system, which will be aired on the 12th October in EMEA and Asia as a one-off special CNBC programme entitled “New Rules, Same Game?” This was followed in the afternoon by a similarly topical Qfinance debate hosted in Arabic by CNBC Arabiya - to be aired throughout the Middle East later this month.
In addition to the debates, a prominent spot campaign will run on CNBC Europe aired across EMEA and Asia Pacific throughout October, along with a 4 part series of TV programmes presented by Geoff Cutmore entitled ‘The Future of Finance.’ To compliment the CNBC TV series, a set of print ‘Future of Finance’ supplements will be published by the FT for distribution throughout October and November. This broadcast and print activity will be further supported by an online campaign designed to generate traffic and build awareness of the QFinance brand – which will run across financial interest websites including FT.com and CNBC.com until at least the end of the year.
