Resonate, part of the Bell Pottinger Group, is delighted to have been appointed by Tesco to launch and run the 2009 PR Campaign for the retailer's new CSR initiative, ‘Tesco for Schools and Clubs’. Resonate was appointed following a competitive pitch for a year long campaign of PR support.
'Tesco for Schools and Clubs' has come about as a result of Tesco asking schools and clubs across the UK how it could improve its voucher offering. The overwhelming response showed they wanted to collect one type of voucher with the choice to redeem it against a broad range of curriculum resources from laptops to art paper, trumpets to footballs.
For the past 18 years Tesco has been supporting schools and clubs across the country by giving away millions of pounds worth of equipment and resources through its ‘Computers for Schools’ and ‘Sport for Schools & Clubs’ voucher initiatives. 'Tesco for Schools & Clubs’ will launch with vouchers in store on Monday 2nd March.
Josh Hardie, Head of CSR at Tesco commented, "We're very happy to be working with Resonate again in 2009 to encourage customers to get collecting for schools and clubs in their area. We want this to be another bumper year."
Resonate previously worked on 'Tesco Computers for Schools' in 2008.
