Royal Free Hospital Appoints Good Relations to Promote its Liver Transplant Unit

Tuesday, 12 February 2008

The Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust has appointed Good Relations, part of the Bell Pottinger Group, with a brief to promote its Liver Transplant Unit. The Unit is celebrating a number of milestones in 2008 including its twentieth anniversary and 1000th patient.

Good Relations will support the in-house communications team by helping to organise a major event for patients and staff in February that recognises the work of the Unit in delivering high quality patient care. In addition, the agency will carry out an audit with customers including patients, GPs and tertiary referrers, and will work with senior clinicians to boost the Unit’s profile.

Bell Pottinger Director and health specialist Claire Cater will lead the account, with day to day management of the account handled by Good Relations Account Director Kathryn Ager.

Royal Free’s Assistant Director Service Development, Jill Hull, said the Royal Free was seeking to build on its reputation as a leading centre for liver disease by undertaking a series of targeted and pro-active public relations initiatives.
“Our team has a strong offering for GPs and patients and we are keen to ensure that the work of our clinicians is better recognised and communicated.”
