Richmond Ice Cream, manufacturer of premium, low fat ice cream brand The Skinny Cow has handed VCCP its million pound advertising budget.

VCCP will be tasked with producing a TV campaign to promote the range and capitalise on the recent outstanding success of the brand, which has already established itself as the biggest Healthy Ice Cream brand in the market.

Clare McIntosh from Skinny Cow says: “More and more consumers are looking for healthier options – but they don’t want to compromise on taste. That’s what The Skinny Cow is all about and we are looking for powerful creative to bring the brand to the attention of a broader group of consumers.”

Ian Priest, at VCCP, says: “This is a fantastic creative opportunity to help build a really exciting brand in the ice cream market. We’re also looking forward to working closely alongside Rise on this project.”

Skinny Cow has four ranges which include tubs, cones sticks and Mini Swirl Pots which are being launched for summer. Within these ranges flavours differ and include old favourites such as Strawberry and Toffee but more exotic ones too, like ‘Truffle Berry Fling’, ‘Gorgeous Chocolate and Caramel’, ‘Completely Mintal’ and ‘Cookies ‘n’ Cream’. Whilst most of the range are 97% fat free, the lowest fat products are a stunning 99% fat free, whilst still retaining all the delicious flavour and rich creamy texture of traditional full fat ice cream.
