SomeOne is appointed to rebrand the largest maritime museum in the world

Wednesday, 09 June 2010

Following a competitive pitch and public tender, London branding agency SomeOne has won the project to rebrand the largest maritime museum in the world, the National Maritime Museum (NMM) which encompasses the Royal Observatory Greenwich, The Peter Harrison Planetarium and the Queens House.

‘No other organisation has the richness of the National Maritime Museum’s site, historic significance, venues and galleries. It’s a thrilling opportunity for the branding to reflect this richness of experience. We hope to both unite the group and better explain the offer’ said Simon Manchipp, co-founder of SomeOne

‘SomeOne really impressed us with their grasp of the brief and their understanding of complex branding projects. They were quick to see the opportunities of our new Sammy Ofer wing which opens in spring of next year. We also liked their work on a range of brands, both large and small and it was clear they understood Greenwich as a destination and the cultural sector in which we operate. We’re looking forward to working with them’ said Kevin Fewster, Director of the National Maritime Museum

After an initial tender, 12 agencies were shortlisted for credentials and five shortlisted for the final stage.
