SHC APPOINTED RETAINED AGENCY FOR GRAND DESIGNS LIVE 2009

Stuart Higgins Communications has been appointed by Media 10 as its retained PR agency to work on Grand Designs Live London, 2009.

Now in its year fifth year, the award winning event for home lovers will once again be held in London's ExCel Centre from 25th April - 4th May 2009 over ten days. 
Stuart Higgins Communications (SHC), a communications, talent and events consultancy worked with Media 10 on the Home Discount Show earlier this year, and has also consulted on a number of projects for the company in recent months.

Media 10 have briefed SHC to develop a PR strategy to focus on building on the brand profile for the event across the consumer, home, design and retail media to highlight the show across the UK for 2009, as well as handling all trade activity.

Within this remit, SHC will be handling all of the pre-post and at show PR for the event, whilst  acting on a consultancy basis for Media 10 around their other events and publishing properties.

Grand Designs Live London, consists of six shows under one roof: Grand Build, Grand Village, Grand Interiors, Grand Kitchens and Bathrooms, Grand Gardens and the Design Shopping Arcade. The exhibition sets out to celebrate creativity, ingenuity and aspiration.

The 2008 event attracted over 100,000 visitors and over 500 exhibitors across 9 days.

The team at Stuart Higgins Communications will consist of Stuart Higgins, Managing Director acting as PR consultant, Jess Blake, Account Director overseeing the day to day activity of the account. Alex Davison, Account Manager Day-to-day management of the account, and Nazia Ahmed, Senior Account Executive who will be supporting all aspects of the account.

Stuart Higgins Communications is part of Fast Track and the Chime Group. Consequently, SHC are able to draw upon a wider team of event management and PR professionals at any time.

Media 10 has won several prestigious exhibition industry awards and accolades, most recently:  Face Fabric, was awarded ‘Exhibition Feature Area of the Year’ at the ‘Event’ awards. Media Ten was recently cited as one of the best creative experiential event's organisers in the industry at the annual AEO Conference in Brighton this November.
