SHC APPOINTED RETAINED AGENCY FOR STUFF LIVE 2009 FOR THE THIRD YEAR RUNNING

Stuart Higgins Communications has been appointed by Haymarket Exhibitions as its retained PR agency to work on Stuff Live, 2009, for the third consecutive year.

Now in its year fourth year, the UK’s best gadget show brought to you by market leading gadget magazine Stuff, in association with What Hi Fi Sound & Vision, will once again be held from 30th   October – 1st November at the ExCeL centre, in London’s Docklands.
Stuart Higgins Communications (SHC), a communications, talent and events consultancy are also the retained PR agency for Stuff magazine, and have worked with Haymarket Exhibitions for the past three years.

Haymarket Events have briefed SHC to develop a PR strategy to focus on building Stuff Live’s profile across the consumer, technology, and lifestyle media to highlight the show across the UK for 2009, as well as handling all trade activity and press accreditation at the event.

The show was hailed a huge success in 2008 after pulling in higher than average numbers compared with previous years, with nearly 10,000 people walking through the doors over the three-day-event having moved to London’s ExCeL Centre.

The team at Stuart Higgins Communications will consist of Stuart Higgins, Managing Director acting as PR consultant, Jess Blake, Account Director overseeing the day to day activity of the account. Alex Davison, Account Manager Day-to-day management of the account, and Nazia Ahmed, Senior Account Executive who will be supporting the account.

Launched in 1990, Haymarket Exhibitions has grown from a small subsidiary of the company to become the market leader in UK consumer exhibitions.  In total, it stages more than a dozen events every year, attracting over half a million visitors in all including Clothes Show Live, Autosport Show, Stuff Live and BBC Good Food Show. Haymarket Exhibitions ended 2008 on a high, with increased attendances at all of its shows and rebookings for 2009 up, in some cases by 46 per cent.
