Britannia Building Society has appointed financial services specialist Teamspirit PR to run a national consumer project in September.
Britannia, which is the UK’s second largest building society, awarded the contract to Teamspirit PR after a two-way pitch. The agency, which is part of Teamspirit - one of the UK’s leading integrated financial services agencies, has been tasked with raising Britannia’s profile in national and regional consumer news pages.
The project will be used to support a new national TV ad campaign that launches at the end of August.
Joanne Parker, managing director of Teamspirit, said: “We’re delighted to win this contract with Britannia Building Society. The company is undergoing a very exciting brand revitalisation, and we are looking forward to combining our specialist financial services knowledge with creative thinking to deliver national headlines on behalf of Britannia.”
Emma Taynton-Young, head of PR for Britannia Building Society, added: “The advertising and PR campaign is designed to raise awareness of the Britannia name and put our brand on people’s shopping lists. It’s about being a financial provider where the customer knows exactly what they’re getting. We have something unique to offer our customers when it comes to being honest and upfront - and now we are starting to shout about it.”
