Monday, 01 December 2008

Bell Pottinger Public Affairs’ Local Government and Planning Unit has been appointed by Treasury Holdings to manage all community relations and engagement with local stakeholders for the redevelopment of Battersea Power Station.

BPPA’s remit includes developing a consultation and communications strategy for local politicians and the community, and providing support for all public consultation events and Treasury Holdings’ schools programme.

Emma Waterfall, Director of BPPA’s Local Government and Planning Unit, who heads the account, said: “We are delighted to be part of the team working on the Battersea Power Station project.  Since the official launch of our Local Government and Planning Unit in September, we have been appointed to work on a number of major regeneration projects. Battersea Power Station is a landmark development and a great asset to our growing client portfolio.”

Battersea Power Station is a local, national and international landmark that stands on the largest undeveloped riverside site in central London.  Its redevelopment is crucial to the regeneration of the Nine Elms area, providing new homes, new jobs and better transport links to create a significant new urban quarter in Battersea and intends to be the most sustainable development in Europe.
