- UK DJ revives classic track in response to public demand -
Following its recent debut in the 5 Alive TV ad and in response to public demand the 70’s Northern Soul classic ‘I’m Alive’ by Don Fardon has been remixed by international DJ, Ashley Beedle, to give it a fresh new sound for 2010.
Originally performed by Don Fardon in the 1970’s, the new remix brings the infectious and uplifting track up to date and is set to be a floor-filler throughout the summer.
In light of the amazing consumer response to both the 5 Alive TV ad and the energetic track, 5 Alive has created an upbeat and entertaining music video to support the remix, which will be released at the same time as the reworked track.
5 Alive worked with Tom Kingsley from Colonel Blimp to create the music video, which reflects the feel of the track and celebrates the lively, fun and quirky characteristics of the brand. The video opens on a frail pensioner, surrounded by concerned nurses.
Suddenly a melody of trumpets and funky drumbeats erupts and he suddenly comes alive, like the Dancing Dodo in the TV ad. The fun packed video, complete with OAP break dancing and an almighty dance off, can be viewed along with the original ad at www.dancingdodo.com from 22nd May 2010.
