VCCP LAUNCH NEW CAMPAIGN FOR BUTTERCUP COUGH SYRUP

VCCP is launching a new TV campaign for Buttercup Cough Syrup, which goes on air nationally from December 6.

The primary message is that Buttercup is made from natural active ingredients, a key point of difference. The ad shows a series of animals coughing followed by other animals suggesting Buttercup as the solution.  The ad concludes with the endline: Buttercup, Soothing by Nature.

The campaign was conceived by Brett O’Connor and Matt Macland and produced by Red Bee Productions.

Omega Pharma Marketing Manager Louise White comments ‘Buttercup is the third largest brand in the cough liquid category and is differentiated in that it is made from natural active ingredients, whilst providing soothing and effective relief. VCCP have developed a strong campaign which consumers responded really positively to in research and we are confident it will continue to drive the brands sales and share forwards’.

VCCP won the Omega Pharma account in January 2010.  The Buttercup campaign follows on from the Jungle Formula insect repellent advertising which ran in the summer and has increased sales significantly, by over 20%.
