Chevron, owner of the Texaco brand, is excited to be an Official Partner of the Coca-Cola Championship for the next three years from the beginning of the 2008/09 season. VCCP and Chevron have been working closely with Fast Track, VCCP’s sister agency, on the development of the activity for the duration of the partnership. The Texaco brand holds the official fuel and road safety partner designations.
VCCP has created ‘the road to the game’ campaign which will be used as a platform for all creative and strategic activity, The strategy and idea behind ‘road to the game’ is simple. It’s about peoples personal footballing journeys. Whether it’s playing the beautiful game yourself, going to support your favourite club or spending another rainy afternoon on the sidelines watching your child play.
To kick things off, we are running a ‘Text to win’ competition. The prize pool is worth a total of £20,000, and we’re giving away a prize every 45 minutes throughout the promotional period. We are giving away everything from fuel vouchers right through to hospitality packages at football matches to the lucky winners.
All people have to do is text ‘game’ to 60707 if they see the activity on Texaco forecourts, and ‘goal’ to 60707 if they see it in the matchday programme advertisement or online at the www.football-league.co.uk for their chance to win.
The campaign goes live on the 15th December on the 1,100 Texaco forecourts nationwide, in all 22 Championship clubs, matchday programmes and online.
